- Refunding a Rental Bond
If the tenant and the lessor/agent agree on how the bond will be refunded, a Refund of Rental Bond (Form 4) must be completed.
- Refund Disputes
If the entire bond is being returned to the tenant or transferred to another property the form should be completed and signed by both the tenant and the lessor/agent.
- Know your rights and responsibilities
Where all parties sign the Refund of Rental Bond (Form 4), and there is no disagreement, the bond money can be disbursed by the RAB immediately.
- Refund Dispute Resolution Services
When submitting a formal complaint to the RAB, you will be asked to provide evidence to support your claim, such as proof that a rental bond has been paid to a lessor/agent if the alleged offence is that the lessor/agent didn't lodge the bond money with the RAB.
- Making a Complaint to the RAB
The complaints process is completely separate to the dispute resolution process.
